JAMES FRASER – Managing Director
Like most of us, James was a keen boater from an early age. In 1989 he decided to give up selling slit steel coils and moved to NYA to sell boats. Seeing opportunities for growth, he became the sole owner of the business in 2003. Since then sales have more than doubled and new alliances have been forged with Haines Marine. Services have widened with the development of the Broadland Boat Centre and moorings at Brundall Harbour. He is an enthusiastic supporter of many boating events and founded the annual Brundall River Fest.
MATT SAMPSON – Senior Broker
Matt came to NYA five years ago with a degree in maritime business studies and a spell in business-to-business sales. He now concentrates on new boats. Boating was a family passion when he was growing up in Norfolk – indeed the family were customers of NYA so we were not unknown to each other.
LOUISE WILKINSON – PA
Louise Wilkinson joins as PA to James Fraser. Many customers will know Louise from her 16 years at Broom Boats. As well as keeping James in order, she will be handling the newsletters and emails that keep customers up to date.
DANNI CASEY – Administrator
Danni joined NYA in 2010. She is new to boats but much enjoying the change. Having previously worked as a mortgage broker she is well used to handling paperwork efficiently – and is comfortable with large numbers. Danni will deal with all the details of your sale or purchase.
HORNING OFFICE
CHRIS COOPER – Sales Manager
Chris has been selling for NYA for 12 years, the last six as Sales Manager. He grew up in Hickling messing about with dinghies and canoes. Going into the retail business, he had the distinction of being the youngest Halfords store manager. In his search for a new challenge he responded to an ad without knowing it involved boats – a happy coincidence that has served him well. Today he relishes the new challenges of bigger, more technically advanced and higher value boats as NYA continues to expand.
JASON HARPER – Office Manager
Jason looks after all our IT and office management. He’s worked around the UK in the boating business since leaving school. Although he enjoys boating, Jason’s main leisure activity is flying. Ten years ago he moved to Norfolk to work with NYA. Among his accomplishments, he is currently writing new software for managing all our sales information – nothing else was good enough.
TIFFANY HOWIE - Sales Broker
The newest member of our customer service team, Tiffany joined NYA in January 2011 from another brokerage. Before going into boat sales, she was a full-time golfer. Tiffany grew up on the Broads, sailing regularly with her family, but preferred cruising. She holds her Day Skipper’s licence and Powerboat Level 2 certificate.
RACHEL PERRY – Administrator
In 14 years, Rachel has seen a huge increase in the depth of paperwork required to buy and sell boats. Today she concentrates on gathering all the information on new boats offered for sale as well as answering questions from potential customers and showing visitors around.
SANDRA MANDY – Administrator
Sandra’s main task is keeping potential buyers up to date with changing list of boats for sale. advising what they are looking for becomes available. She came to NYA ten years ago to buy her first boat at the same time as she was looking for a change of employment. In a productive meeting she ended up with a new boat and a new job.
MARK SUCKLING – Service Manager
Mark is widely known as Speedo – which relates more to swimwear than an interest in instrumentation. Mark and his team of five check boats over, prepare them for sale and carry out maintenance and repairs. A qualified skipper, he has worked with boats since leaving school. In six years with NYA, he has kept pace with the increasing sophistication of the boats he looks after.
