  • The galley is located forward of the main saloon to port. There is plentiful stowage both above and below the corian finished galley worktop. The galley comprises of a flush mounted AEG 4 burner electric hob, built into a galley locker there is a Sharp electric Convection/Grill/Microwave, recessed into the galley worktop there is two round stainless steel sinks and below the worktop there is a large EuroEngel fridge. Accommodation

  • The Broom 50 has a expansive saloon that was a break away from the more traditional Broom designs with the sweeping contours of the saloon seating and bulkheads. There are three cabins nestled in her 50ft length with the vast aft cabin, complete with ensuite toilet and shower compartments, that wouldnt look out of place on far bigger craft. The forward guest cabin boasts an island double and en-suite access to the day toilet and shower compartment. The third cabin is located to starboard forward of the saloon and comprises of two single berths. The galley is open to the main saloon and feels very much part of the same space.
  • As you would expect on a boat of this size stowage is plentiful and throughout the whole boat,
  • The single helm position which is positioned centrally means that you can enjoy excellent visibility. The dinette area aft of the helm and navigators position will easily accommodate 6 adults. The usual drawback of the aft cabin boat is cockpit stowage space the 50 overcomes this with aplomb, providing stowage plentiful seating beneath the cockpit seating.

  • PART EXCHANGE POSSIBLEReported Range at 1700 Revs to be 347 NM and MPG 0.99 (figures taken from MBY boat test report)
  • Routine work carried out on Ladoucette 22-26 January prior to voyage Ramsgate – Brundall during early part of March. In addition vessel has been out of the water twice in two years. Detect deckhead leak in aft cabin. Stanchions tightened port side aft; Woodwork refitted in aft master cabin cupboards and tidied/cleaned as necessary Radio VHF speaker in saloon adjusted in order to reduce/eliminate screeching noise. Squelch adjusted Port and starboard earthing straps on propeller shafts removed, cleaned and refitted Fridge light repaired. Pressure switch spring found to be broken. Spring replaced Gas rams replaced on aft engine room hatch Main shore power breaker (aft master cabin cupboard) trip checked and operated. Wiring checked and contacts cleaned Rubber sealing strip refitted on port side of wheelhouse All batteries checked; distilled water added as required. Battery terminals cleaned and Vaseline coated Main seawater filters cleaned Aft seawater filters cleaned Air filters cleaned Gearbox oil samples taken Main engine oil samples taken Crankcase breather filters cleaned Sea cocks operated and lubricated Header and levels checked and antifreeze strength checked All oil filters checked, cleaned and changed as required Anodes checked and changed as required
