The weather forecast for our planned Wells trip in May was pretty dismal with a lot of uncertainty as to windspeed. We took the decision to delay for a week when the forecast was looking really good. Unfortunately, this meant that a few boats could not make it due to other commitments.
The weather really turned for the better. We left Great Yarmouth at 0830hrs and cruised to Wells-next-the-sea in the lovely conditions, suncream was the order of the day.
We had a very pleasant few days in Wells which was busy then I have ever seen it. The bank holiday and 30 degree weather had drawn a huge number of people to Wells beautiful beach and town.
We all got together on Saturday afternoon for a few drinks on ‘Diva’ followed by fish & chips on the quay.
On Monday afternoon we left on the tide and made our way to RNSYC @ Lowestoft for dinner and returned to Great Yarmouth on Tuesday morning with great suntans.
