A section of the Kennet & Avon canal, that links the River Thames to the River Avon at Bath was accidentally drained recently.
A boater who was in a hurry forgot to close the paddles on the lock gates as he went through which is akin to pulling the plug out in the bath. The water levels have subsequently been restored by the Canal Trust.
Thankfully Broads boating doesn’t have such complications.
